In celebration of helping over 800 people back in to work, Sefton@Work recently held it’s 2nd Anniversary and Awards Ceremony at the Plaza Cinema in Waterloo. 

The event included a short film featuring local people showing how they had benefitted from the help of Sefton@Work and our partner organisations, and an award presentation to 20 local people and six employers.

The awards were presented by Graham Haywood, chief executive of Sefton Council. 

Sefton@Work Manager, Shirley Sunderland, said:

“It was a heartwarming event, giving us the opportunity to say “well done” to people who’ve taken positive steps forward in their lives.”

Alan Jones, MD of Vital Power, said:

“We’re delighted to receive this award and with the help we’ve had from Sefton@Work since the business moved in to Sefton. We look forward to working together in the future to recruit more staff as the business expands”.

Award winning client, Elizabeth Savin from Netherton said:

“With guidance from my Sefton@Work Adviser, Carmol, I was able to choose the right path for me. I started work in a job I’m throroughly enjoying.  Receiving a Sefton@Work award was excellent, it was a most memorable day”.
